Our Story

Malej was founded in 2022 by Yasar Esgin, the owner of Istanbul-based clothing manufacturer Cemsel Textile. The family business has been in existence for over 35 years and is now one of Europe's best-known producers and fabric manufacturers - known for consistent quality and excellent service.

With Malej, Yasar Esgin is realising a long-standing vision that he developed during his time as a student and young textile engineer in Germany: the creation of a modern premium collection.

The name Malej is fictitious and was chosen to emphasise the international character of the brand. The company follows clearly defined standards: Only high-quality and sustainable materials are used in production.

The design is created at the headquarters in Istanbul, while sales, logistics, customer service and administration are handled by the German branch in Starnberg.

Malej is part of a growing fashion group that includes several other clothing brands.
